Color Description

Peer into the depths of an amethyst cluster to catch this one of a kind color speckled with fine silver glitter.

PETG (Glycol-modified Polyethylene Terephthalate)

PETG is an excellent alternative to ABS and PLA. It offers the strength and durability of ABS, and the superb layer adhesion and ease of use of PLA. PETG also provides excellent impact and chemical resistance. Unlike ABS, PETG does not require a heated bed, barely warps, and does not produce any odors or fumes. PETG is not biodegradable but is recyclable. It is best used to create mechanical parts. Virgin PETG is FDA-Compliant. However, the pigments used to develop PETG prevent it from being FDA-compliant.

Why is this color $2 more?

This color is specially designed for Louise Driggers a.k.a. Loubie3D. It includes her exclusive model, "Wolfsong." This color is named after the violet quartz sometimes so dark it looks almost black, this deepest purple PLA is opaque (to better show off sculpt details) and dusted with silver glitter to catch the light and the eye.
