Color Description
Here we envisioned the perfect silky, lustrous, warm yellow-gold. A color that comes to mind when someone tries to fool a king with fake jewelry.
PLA+ (Polylactic Acid)
PLA is one of the most popular 3D printing materials because it prints at low temperatures, doesn't require a heated bed, and doesn't warp. Due to its low printing temperature, it's usable with 3D printers and 3D printing pens! PLA is a biodegradable material made from renewable natural resources such as corn-starch.
Please note this has a silk additive; as such, I would treat it like another material.
We highly recommend going through your normal tuning routine as you would with any new material.
It's typical for the material to swell a little while idle at extrusion temperature; however, it returns to normal once you're printing.
There may be a slight increase in retraction from your normal PLA profile.
Tip: You can play with the extrusion temperature and speed for varying levels of sheen.
What's the difference between PLA and PLA+?
PLA+ is made of the same great PLA but has different additives to toughen your prints, so they're even easier to print and more durable!
Advantages
- Easy to print reliably.
- Low warping as compared to other materials.
- A heated bed is not required! We recommend using blue tape if you do not have a heated bed to prevent warping.
- Eco-friendly!
- Nontoxic, unlike ABS.
