The carbon fiber powder is hygroscopic, meaning it will absorb moisture if left in a humid environment. If it does absorb moisture, you will notice weird artifacts or difficulty printing. To fix this, we recommend dehydrating the roll in a food dehydrator or via an oven before printing.
PETG (Glycol-modified Polyethylene Terephthalate)
PETG is an excellent alternative to ABS and PLA. It offers the strength and durability of ABS, and the superb layer adhesion and ease of use of PLA. PETG also provides excellent impact and chemical resistance. Unlike ABS, PETG does not require a heated bed, barely warps, and does not produce any odors or fumes. PETG is not biodegradable but is recyclable. It is best used to create mechanical parts. Virgin PETG is FDA-Compliant. However, the pigments used to develop PETG prevent it from being FDA-compliant.
